When and where did you begin this sport?
She began training at age 15 while attending a boarding school for children with a vision impairment in Armavir, Russian Federation.
Why this sport?
"I would say two people made the choice for me, my first coach Vladimir Marenich and my current coach Pyotr Buylov. In 2001, having arrived at the junior competition, they both offered me the chance to stay in Ufa for a couple of months for a small training camp. After that I never returned home."
