Injuries
He suffered from a staph infection in early 2004 which resulted in him being hospitalised for three months and undergoing multiple surgeries. Although he was able to recover in time to compete at the 2004 Paralympic Athens, the lingering effects of the illness forced him to miss the 2008 Games in Beijing. (startribune.com, 18 Jun 2015)
