PARA SNOWBOARD EDUCATION

World Para Snowboard in co-operation with its education partners, IPC Academy and World Academy of Sport (WAoS), is committed to the continued learning of all parties within the Paralympic Movement. 

 

With the number of athletes and competition opportunities continuing to rise within Para snowboard, we have identified the need for increased learning support across in a number of areas. 

Through the relevant links you can find more information on how to become a classifier, technical official, coach or educator.

World Para Snowboard will support you through your further and continuous training and development. Our pathway programme outlines how you can progress in your training and development through national, regional and international sport events. 

World Para Snowboard will continue to inform NPCs of all upcoming education programmes via this website and by email. We welcome initiatives from National Paralympic Committees, National Federations and Local Organising Committees to host education programmes.

If you have an interest in becoming involved in one of our education programmes, please complete the relevant expression of interest to participate or similarly, if you would like to host an education event, you can complete the host application form.

The World Para Snowboard team will review your application and, if you are eligible for participation, add your name to a candidate register for future programmes.

COACHES
The World Para Snowboard Introduction to Coaching Programme is designed for Para snowboard coaches that are just getting into coaching Para snowboard or coaches who have been coaching Para snowboard for some years but are looking to advance their skill level. Programme information will be published on this page when available. World Para Snowboard envisions to creating an advanced level coaching course in the coming years. That course will target coaches that are working with/are interested in working with their elite national team.

IPC ONLINE ACADEMY

The IPC Academy online programmes are open for everybody who wants to learn more about the IPC and the Paralympic Movement. You might be an athlete, a coach, a technical official, sport medical practitioner, event organiser or generally just an interested supporter of Paralympic Sport or the Paralympic Games looking to test their knowledge. 

Furthermore, the online programmes are the entry levels (Level 1) to the World Para Alpine Skiing pathways on technical officiating, classification and coaching. There are different online programmes available, depending on your area of interest.
