Neutral Paralympic Athlete Ekaterina Rumyantseva has been voted the Allianz Best Female Athlete of the Month for March after winning five medals at PyeongChang 2018.

The Nordic skier claimed three golds and two silvers in the women’s standing category at March’s Paralympic Winter Games.

The 27-year-old received 77 per cent of the public votes. US Nordic skier Oksana Masters was second with 18 per cent. Germany’s Nordic skier Andrea Eskau, Slovakia’s alpine skier Henrieta Farkasova and Dutch snowboarder Bibian Mentel-Spee were also shortlisted.

In lieu of the Allianz Athlete of the Month award for March, the honour has been separated into three different categories – Best Male Athlete, Best Female Athlete and Best Team – based on results at PyeongChang 2018.
