June 2021

La RD Congo a été touchée au mois de Mai dernier par l’éruption volcanique de Nyirangongo dans la ville de Goma, province du Nord Kivu. La coulée des laves ainsi que les secousses sismiques qui ont suivi ont causé le déplacement d’au moins 410 000 personnes (selon la DTM OIM) ainsi que la destruction de près de 3 629 maisons, entraînant la perte de biens et articles ménagers essentiels d’environ 20 000 personnes.

- 164 393 personnes soit 28 072 ménages assistées en Abris et 325 676 personnes soit 49 759 ménages assistés en AME entre janvier et mars 2021.

- Interventions mises en œuvre dans 5 provinces de la République Démocratique du Congo (RDC) à savoir la Tshopo, l’Ituri, le Nord-Kivu, le Sud-Kivu et le Tanganyika.

- Les réponses Abris ne représentent que 8 % et les réponses AME 23% des cibles sectorielles du Plan de Réponse Humanitaire pour 2021.

December 2020

Durant l’année 2020, 1 340 400 personnes soit 268 000 ménages ont bénéficié d’une assistance en articles ménages essentiels (AME) et environ 457 013 personnes soit 85 210 ménages ont reçu une assistance en Abris, grâce aux interventions des partenaires du Cluster Abris et du Groupe de Travail AME. Ces interventions ont été mises en œuvre dans 7 provinces de la République Démocratique du Congo (RDC) à savoir le Haut Katanga, l’Ituri, le Kasaï, le Kasaï-Central, le Nord-Kivu, le Sud-Kivu et le Tanganyika, couvrant ainsi 49 zones de santé.

September 2020

Depuis le début de l’année 2020 (janvier à septembre), l’ensemble des réponses rapportées par les partenaires Abris et AME/NFI ont bénéficié à environ 519 000 personnes représentant 104 000 ménages pour les Abris ainsi qu’environ 1 1 05 000 personnes représentant 221 000 ménages pour les AME/NFI. Ces interventions ont été mises en œuvre/enregistrées dans 7 provinces de la République Démocratique du Congo à savoir le Haut Katanga, Ituri, Kasaï, Kasaï Central, Nord Kivu, Sud Kivu et le Tanganyika, couvrant 40 zones de santé.

Depuis le début de l’année 2020, 164,859 personnes ont été assistées en abris, et 132,763 en AME, dans 7 Provinces de la RDC à savoir le Haut Katanga, l’Ituri, le Kasai, le Kasai Central, le Nord Kivu, Sud Kivu et Tanganyika, couvrant 40 zones de santé.

January 2020

1,240,216 personnes ont été assistées en AME par 42 organisations humanitaires, pendant le période de janvier – décembre 2019. 39,7% de l’assistance a été fournie à travers les approches monétaires et 60,3% par distribution directe. Les gaps principaux sont rapportés dans les provinces de la Région du Kasaï (AME) et dans les provinces du Tanganyika (AME), du Sud-Kivu (AME), Nord Kivu (AME) et Ituri (AME).

The humanitarian needs in the DRC have reached alarming proportions. 2017 was one of the most violent years in history. According to the 2017 – 2019 HRP updated for 2019, 12.8 million people (including 7.5 million children) are in need of humanitarian assistance and protection. This constitutes nearly 13% of the total population of the country projected in 2019. The NFI / Shelter Cluster has thus far targeted 29% of people in need in 2019 – i.e. 3,700,000 persons.
