May 2021

During the reporting period of May 2021, shelter is among the top priority need in camps, camps like setting and host community across Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states. According to the site tracker and DTM data, 1,117,340 HH are in dire need of shelter and NFI assistance mainly due to inadequate shelter conditions, overcrowding, and economic hardship. Those people particular in need of shelter and NFI assistance includes Internally displaced persons (newly displaced and protracted), returnees, and vulnerable host community hosting IDPs.

April 2021

Shelter needs of around 61,350 individuals were addressed over the months with activities including emergency shelters, transitional and shelter rehabilitation. Of those, 33,470 individuals were assisted with emergency shelter solutions, 2,640 individuals were supported with transitional shelters and a  further 2,350 had their permanent structures rehabilitated and 37,570 respectively. 22,890 received Non Food Item Kits both in kind or voucher across the BAY states.

March 2020

Shelter needs of around 56,750 individuals were addressed over the months with activities including emergency shelters and shelter rehabilitation. Of those, 13,195 individuals were assisted with emergency shelter (Bama), 4,608 individuals were supported with rehabilitation of damaged permanent structure and 37,570 respectively with emergency shelter kits (ESK) across BAY states.

June 2018

Recent figures on displacement monitoring in the Northeast Nigeria shows that there are 262 IDP camps in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe State hosting 744,769 individuals and 151,451 households which is over 30% of the entire displaced population (DTM Round 23). Accumulated weekly monitoring done for the month of June 2018, show that various locations received a total of 18,053 arrivals while there were 4,371 departures. The highest arrival movements were recorded in Bama (3,827), Gwoza (2,216), Biu (1,557), Dikwa (1,244), Askira/Uba (778), Konduga (685), Ngala (643), Mafa (581), and Mobbar (556).
