GBV in Shelter Programming Working Group

For many people, the distribution of non-food items provides essential assistance, helping to safeguard their health, security, privacy and dignity.

Whilst well planned and managed distributions can help to save lives and help communities be supported by other programmes, poorly managed distributions can do harm.

This short animation has a particular focus on reducing Gender Based Violence through well-conceived and organized distributions. It also serves to highlight some positive steps that people involved in distributions can take to implement distributions that meet the needs of those that they are intended to support.
