The WASH KAP Mapper is a tool to map out WASH KAP (Knowledge, Aptitude, Practises) survey results. It will only work if you have used the standardized WASH KAP UNHCR survey template, although you can have added or removed optional questions without it being an issue.

1. Upload a csv-file containing coordinates of each household: Make sure you have two coordinate columns (the column needs to contain the word 'latitude' or 'longitude' in its header). Each indicator require one or more specific fields to be calculated, make sure the file contains them.
   • Average L/p/d of potable water collected at household level
   • Households with at least 10 litres/person of potable water storage capacity
   • Distance from household to potable water collection point
   • Households collecting drinking water from protected/treated sources
   • Households with household/family latrine/toilet
   • Households reporting defecating in a latrine/toilet
   • Households with access to soap
   • Households with access to solid waste disposal facility
   • Households satisfied with menstrual hygiene management materials and facilities
2. Choose the indicator you wish to analyse from the drop-down menu.
3. Add the Site name and country as it should be displayed in the map title
4. Click the export button
5. Take a screenshot of the finalized map (on Windows machines you can use the 'Snipping tool').

You can pan and zoom on the map anytime by using your mouse's scroll-wheel or double-click on the map.
