“The Camp: Coordination in Action.” The film was jointly developed by the CCCM Cluster in South Sudan with the global cluster support. It was filmed on location in June 2014 on the Protection of Civilian (POC) site in Malakal in South Sudan by an independent cinematographer. The film highlighted the role of camp management partner, profiles the different actors involved in coordinating emergency humanitarian efforts in a camp setting and features the day to day decisions that camp managers and humanitarian partners have to routinely make to ensure services and protection of the displaced population. The particular challenges of the POC sites in South Sudan, provide a backdrop to the conflict between being in the center of humanitarian action as a coordinator, while also having to be accountable to international donors, different agencies, Cluster partners), and the camp population itself.
