Asking for donations instead of gifts is a generous and inspirational way to mark a special occasion. Here are a few ways that you can celebrate and help support refugees:
Weddings
By asking your guests to donate to UNHCR Canada instead of giving a wedding gift, you can give refugees living in some of the world’s toughest places a reason to celebrate.
Donations In Lieu of Wedding Favours
You can also donate to UNHCR Canada in lieu of providing wedding favours. You can download our fillable place cards below to display at your wedding venue. Please note: Before printing on card stock, ask your printing house to add a fold in the middle in order to avoid creasing when the card is folded in half.
Birthdays
Support UNHCR Canada in celebration of your birthday. Instead of gifts, ask friends and family to make a donation with a birthday fundraiser!
