Delivering the Global Compact on Refugees

"Delivering the Global Compact on Refugees: Local Approaches to Inclusion” is a regional intergovernmental conference that will bring together States and stakeholders from the East and Horn of Africa from 31 October to 01 November 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The aim of the Conference is to share experiences and identify  opportunities to achieve the objectives of the Global Compact on Refugees, with a focus on local approaches to the inclusion of refugees within their host communities. 

The Conference is organized by the Ethiopian Ministry of Peace, in partnership with the Danish Government and UNHCR. Ethiopia, which is one of the convening countries at the Global Refugee Forum has invited CRRF countries - Djibouti, Kenya, Somalia and Uganda - and other IGAD member states of Eritrea, Sudan and South Sudan. The Conference will also be attended by Donors, UN agencies and NGOs.
