2	INSTRUCTIONS: - In consultation with the (Snr) Protection Officer, determine which Special Needs Codes are to be used in the operation (column C samples: Yes/No). Depending on registration capacity, it may be necessary to limit collection of SNs to "overall category" codes. - Determine which codes the Registration Clerk/Assistant is authorized to enter and which entry requires prior approval by the (Snr) Protection Officer (sample below) - Provide data entry clerks/assistants with a filtered list of selected codes (and if appropriate workheet "SN Codes operator sheet" with descriptions) - Refer to IOM/028-FOM/030/2007 Guidance on the Use of Standardized Specific Needs Codes https://intranet.unhcr.org/intranet/unhcr/en/home/protection_and_operational/international-protection/registration/Registration_in_Context.html
