This interim guidance outlines how key public health and social measures needed to reduce the impact of the disease can be adapted for use in low capacity humaitarian settings. Additional considerations for support to residents of urban informal settlements and slums are available in annex 1. 

The Sphere Project, now known as Sphere, was created in 1997 by a group of humanitarian non-governmental organisations and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
