Problems related to the CPF in emergency aid registration

For those who are having problems related to the CPF in the registration for the emergency assistance, the IRS advises that the user accesses the Caixa application again, at different times of the day, seeking their registration, as the activation may not be possible on the first attempt.

If you are not able to qualify due to a pending CPF in the Caixa application, check if your CPF is in the “Regular” situation by consulting the IRS website.

The IRS also says that it is important that the citizen checks, when filling out the Caixa – Emergency Aid application, if his name, that of his mother and his date of birth coincide with the data contained in the IRS database.

If the citizen confirms that he / she needs to regularize CPF data, this can be done free of charge on the IRS website through the following options:
– preferably by the electronic form “Alteration of Registration Data in the CPF”;
By chat.

I don't have a CPF, what should I do?

The IRS (Receita Federal) started to release taxpayer registration in the Individual Taxpayer Registration System (CPF) in a safe and free way over the internet through e-mail.

1) Send an email to one of the following contacts, according to your location:

2) In the subject write “Emissão de CPF”

Identification document with photo (CRNM – National Migration Registration Card, National Migration Registration Protocol, Passport or ID card from the country of origin, CNH – National Driver’s License, CTPS – Work and Social Security Card).


What documents can I present to receive the payment of the financial aid?

a) CRNM – National Migration Registration Card, formerly known as CIE / RNE – Foreigner Identification Card / National Registration of Foreigners;

b) the DP-RNM – Provisional Document of National Migration Registry, formerly known as the Provisional Protocol of Asylum Request or Provisional Alien Identity Document;

c) passport or identity card of the country of origin, accompanied by a protocol for the application for a residence permit with a verification QR code and / or with an SISMIGRA information certificate, the Federal Police Department’s computerized data system for migratory registration;

d) all Brazilian documents issued in your favor, such as CNH – National Driver’s License, professional identification cards and, exceptionally, CTPS – Labor and Social Security Card.

In case of resistance in the payment or rejection of emergency aid, immigrants can claim free legal assistance from the DPU according to the State of residence (https://www.dpu.def.br/contatos-dpu)


My documents are expired, what should I do?

Do not worry. You will be able to access the aid even with the expired documentation, as all the protocols, CRNM or other documents related to migratory regularization deadlines are extended until the end of the public health emergency. Only asylum application processes will be extinguished whose protocols, expiring on 09/15/2019, have not been renewed until 03/16/2020 or processes of applicants who have missed until 03/16/2020 the rescheduling of eligibility interview due to no-show at first.
