Financial support for families („Corona-hardship fund”): Families who have financial problems due to the corona situation can apply for financial help. The City of Vienna offers support in several languages for the application.

Electricity, gas and heating will not be disconnected:
Energy Minister Leonore Gewessler said electricity, gas and heating would not be disconnected if people got into difficulties with payments. This applies to private customers as well as the self-employed and small businesses. The measure is in place up to 1 May initially.
For people who receive social state support (Mindestsicherung – BMS) in Vienna: the Viennese parliament (Landtag) decided on 26.03. that decisions granting social state support (Bescheid) which are due to expire between now and the end of April, will get extended unbureaucratically for another four months.
