Asylum procedure in North Macedonia

As a State which has agreed to protect refugees in line with the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol, North Macedonia has developed procedures for determining whether persons claiming asylum are refugees. The body responsible for the asylum procedures is the Sector for Asylum, a sector within the Ministry of Interior.
