UNHCR recommends that you seek advice from a lawyer in preparing your claim. Free legal aid is provided by the Macedonian Young Lawyers Association, with the support of UNHCR North Macedonia.
UNHCR visits immigration detention centres periodically to monitor whether the treatment of asylum seekers in detention is in accordance with international standards, but does not investigate individual complaints about conditions of detention.
