A third country solution is a safe and regulated opportunity to obtain a temporary or permanent legal status in a country other than India or Myanmar. While you remain a refugee, UNHCR will continue to identify and pursue all possible solutions for you. If you are currently in the pipeline for a solution in a third country – through the resettlement program or via complementary legal pathways established by individual countries – you will, in most cases, remain under consideration.
