Reference and Conviviality Centers in Boa Vista

The Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) and UN agencies in Brazil are part of a Reference Center in Boa Vista (RR), aimed at assisting refugees and migrants. The purpose of the center is to provide guidance, protection and integration services to citizens from Venezuela and other nationalities arriving in the state of Roraima, as well as activities for the local community. Furnished by UFRR, it works on the campus of the university and is not intended for sheltering people.

The Center for Conviviality and Psychosocial Care of Roraima is an initiative linked to the Salvation Army Bridges Project, in partnership with UNHCR and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), funded by the European Union. The goal is for the center to be a social space for Brazilian, refugee and migrant people who have suffered gender-based violence or other human rights violations.
