IGO and Other Reports

The mandate of the Inspector General's Office (IGO) comprises three functions: inspections of field offices and headquarters' units; investigations of possible misconduct by UNHCR personnel; and ad hoc inquiries into grave violent attacks on UNHCR personnel and operations.

Ad hoc inquiries into other incidents that could directly impact the credibility and integrity of the UN refugee agency can also be carried out by the IGO at the High Commissioner's request.
