Objectif(s) | Ensure that the Committee/Coalition for Human Rights is able to provide a service of guidance, support and legal representation to individuals or groups whose fundamental rights have been violated, focusing in particular on women, children and adolescents and persons living in refugee-like situations. |
Results/Impact | The project has supported the strengthening of local human rights committees and civil society. These have ensured the promotion of access to justice, in order to create opportunities for discussion, promotion, dissemination and influence in those responsible for administering justice and public institutions for greater and better access to fundamental rights. |
Why is this considered a Good practice? | Impunity affecting the refugee population is a factor rarely mentioned as a source of vulnerability, revictimizacion and hindering local integration. The development of spaces for advocacy is not only a tool for strengthening the local protection networks but also the legal national system, reducing the gap in access to justice for most vulnerable population. |
