Objectif(s)Provide the refugee community the opportunity to open their own microenterprise in Panama.
Results/Impact

28 families receive support in microenterprise.

This programme has benefited 98 persons, disaggregated by age, gender and diversity.

Asylum-seekers:

0-4 years (10 F, 1 M);

5-17 years (12 M and 16 F),

18-59 years (25 F and 12 M);

> 60 years (2 F, 9 M).

Refugee:

5-17 years (5 F and 1 M),

18-59 years (4 F and 1 M).

(Target: 20)

 

Why is this considered a Good practice?The intention of the local integration programme is not only to assist our population of interest but also provide them the opportunity to explore their abilities and strengths, so that in the short or long term they can achieve self-sufficiency. We hope that the programme reaches more results in 2011.
