Iranian President Hassan Rohani is due to arrive in Ashgabat on March 10 at the start of a two-day state visit to Turkmenistan.
Rohani is due to meet one-on-one with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov in the Turkmen capital on March 11.
The two should sign unspecified bilateral agreements and take part in a joint press conference.
Business delegations from both countries will also take part in talks.
Iran and Turkmenistan share a common border of more than 1000 kilometers.
The two countries have enjoyed good relations since Turkmenistan's independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, cooperating in economic, transportation, infrastructure development, and energy sectors.
