The Koran is placed on the body of an antigovernment protester, Abdou Saeed Mohammed, who was killed during recent with security forces in Sanaa.
Artillery fire was reported in Yemen's capital today despite a cease-fire between supporters of President Ali Abdullah Saleh and opponents seeking his removal after 33 years in power.
Witnesses said heavy gunfire was heard early today in Sanaa.
There were no immediate reports of casualties.
The cease-fire came into force late on September 20 after three days of violence in which nearly 80 people were reported killed.
Earlier today, hundreds of Yemenis marched in Sanaa in funeral processions for dozens of the victims.
Protests against Saleh's rule began in February.
Saleh is in Saudi Arabia where he went for medical treatment after an attack in June. He refuses to step down.
