According to a representative of the High Commission of Pakistan in Ottawa, citizenship applications in Pakistan are considered if they follow standard procedures and are dealt with on a case by case basis (1 Apr. 1996). The representative adds that there are no exceptions to these procedures (ibid.). For information on procedures for submitting an application for citizenship in Pakistan, please consult the Pakistan Citizenship Rules, 1952 available upon request.
