During a 22 July 2003 telephone interview, the pastor who founded the El Camino Christian Church (Iglesia Cristiana El Camino) in 1986 stated that he did not know of an organization called the Asociación Social Cristiana El Camino in colonia Valle de Lunes, D.F. However, the pastor pointed out that there are many churches and religious organizations in Mexico that have the name El Camino (Iglesia Cristiana El Camino 22 July 2003).

When contacted on 21 July 2003, a telephone operator from Mexico's directory assistance stated that there was no telephone number for an organization called the Asociación Social Cristiana El Camino in colonia Valle de Lunes, D.F.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
