1) Current information on this specific subject is unavailable to the IRBDC in Ottawa. Please find attached information on the repatriation of people from Togo and information on ECOWAS countries.
2) According to the Embassy of Togo in Ottawa, Togo is signatory to the Geneva Convention for Refugees (3 Feb. 1992). This same source added that Togo receives refugees who fall under the protection of the United Nation High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Lomé (Ibid.). This information is corroborated by the UNHCR office in Ottawa (3 Feb. 1992).
