Two GP20 events on IDPs happening next week in Geneva during the 39th Human Rights Council session. They are both convened by the Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of IDPs and co-hosted by Austria, Honduras and Uganda.

Photo exhibition and virtual reality experience: Through the Lens of the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement 

the exhibition will include 30 photos covering 19 Guiding Principles, conflict, disaster, climate change and development-induced displacement in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, Middle East. Along with the photos there will be a virtual reality experience contributed by IOM.

The exhibition will take place between 24-28 September at the Palais des Nations, Building E, Door 40, Ground floor lobby

Side event:  Internally Displaced Persons: Participation to Secure Solutions

Presenters from Oxfam Yemen, NRC on Latin America, UNHCR on Niger and JIPS on Sudan will focus on how engagement of IDPs can foster solutions in humanitarian programming, peace processes, law and policy development and profiling exercises, including particular focus on women and girls by Oxfam

The side event  will be on 26 September, 12:00-13:30 at the Palais des Nations, Room XXIII
