The Gender with age marker has been officially launched at the ECOSOC Humanitarian Affairs Segment in New York on June 21.
The Gender with Age Marker is an easy-to-use, automated tool to increase gender and age responsive programming. It can be applied at all levels – from individual projects to country strategies – to assess the inclusion of gender and age in programming. The marker guides users to reflect on equitable benefits and satisfaction, as well as accountability, protection, communication with communities and more.
The use of the Gender with Age Marker is required for UN and partner projects applying for funds for the 2019 Humanitarian Program Cycle.
A French, Spanish and Arabic versopm will be available soon. The GenCap adviser and the support unit working on the marker will be updating the website with additional information, including how to access the GAM offline.
