Taking the fight for rights to Côte d'Ivoire's 'forgotten'

Rosine and Monique are legal experts, but their work takes place not in a court of law but in rural village squares, as they track down stateless people and advocate for their rights. Their organization, the Côte d'Ivoire Women's Legal Aid Association – supported by UNHCR – is working to combat statelessness, which leaves people on the margins of society, restricting their ability to work, own property, get an education and live full lives under the protection of the law.
