Dancing to survive: Angelina Jolie visits Venezuelan refugee breakdancers in Peru
The socio-economic, political and human rights situation of Venezuela has led to the largest movement of people in Latin America's recent history. Over 2 million Venezuelan refugees and migrants have left their country since 2015. Half a million of them live in Peru. UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie visited Peru in October 2018 and met a remarkable group of young refugees who are using breakdance to inspire young people and create ties with the local community through dance and culture.
