Refugees living in Malaysia frequently find their own coping mechanisms and solutions to their plight. Refugees explore programmes that are most relevant to their community and implement these projects best they can with the restricted resources they have.

UNHCR assists by finding ways to add value to the work refugees are already doing, and one concrete way is finding donors to support the various assistance projects run by refugees.
