UNHCR head meets urban refugees in Kinshasa, Congo
UN Refugee Chief Filippo Grandi paid a visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, urging the international community not to forget about the plight of millions of displaced people across the region. During the four-day trip, the High Commissioner met with refugees who fled to Congo, as well as people displaced inside of the country. He called for renewed global efforts to find solutions to the complex displacement crises affecting Congo and its neighbours.
