This week, the National Endowment for the Arts announced more than $27 million in grants that will help provide all Americans with the opportunity to participate in and experience the arts, support local economies, and preserve American heritage while embracing new forms of creative expression. Kronos Performing Arts Association is grateful to receive an Art Works grant to support the organization’s fifth annual self-produced Kronos Festival. Thank you to the Recording Academy for recognizing Landfall, Kronos’ Nonesuch Records album with Laurie Anderson, with the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees.
We’d like to thank Scott Fraser who recorded, edited, mixed and co-produced this recording, as well as David Bither, Robert Hurwitz, and the entire Nonesuch team. Thank you also to Jacob Garchik, who was instrumental in realizing the piece, and Pomegranate Arts, which co-produced the live multimedia performances with Kronos Performing Arts Association (KPAA).
