UNHCR presents sewing machines to refugeesIn light of coming New Year, UNHCR in Kazakhstan presented sewing machines to two vulnerable refugee families who had applied for such support earlier. "I am very glad and happy that I was given the sewing machine. It is a chance to save money for our family, because I will be able to sew the clothes for my children myself" - said a refugee woman when she received the sewing machine. Two additional sewing machines will be transferred to the new implementing partner, the International Association of Social Projects (IASP). It will give a chance to any refugee from the community to come and repair their clothes or sew a new one when they need it. Moreover, IASP will conduct sewing courses for those who want to learn. UNHCR takes this opportunity to congratulate everyone with the coming New Year, and wish all readers and their families happiness and prosperity.
