Meeting of UNHCR for Central Asia with MFA of the Republic of Uzbekistan23 January 2019. Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan. - On 23 January 2019, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) Regional Representative for Central Asia, Ms Yasuko Oda, together with the UN Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ms Helena Fraser, met with the Head of the Foreign Ministry’s Directorate-General for Multilateral Cooperation, Mr. Ildar Shigabutdinov, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan also attended the meeting. Ms. Oda updated the counterparts on the activities of the UNHCR Regional Office in Central Asia and the sides discussed perspectives for future cooperation. 29.01.2019 |
