Regional Bureau for Europe
UNHCR’s Regional Bureau for Europe covers 49 countries. We work with a range of organizations and partners, including the European Union and its agencies, the Council of Europe, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, other UN agencies, civil society and NGOs. The Bureau also engages with supranational legal institutions, including the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Deputy Director
Regional Bureau for Europe’s Units
- Protection Support Unit (PSU) – Geneva: focuses on protection/policy/national legal issues arising in Europe (including clearance process for comments to national legislation), and support for the design and implementation of protection strategies.

- Policy & Field Support for Europe – Geneva: contributes to regional strategy, monitors and supports field activities, keeps governments and partners informed on operational developments.

- Communications and Information Management Unit – Geneva: develops information/communication/reporting products and strategies to advance advocacy, protection and operation priorities, provides support to the Bureau, senior management, country offices and regional representations.
