This is a race against time. Help protect Rohingya refugees' lives and homes from the monsoon.
Right now, the lives and homes of thousands of Rohingya children, women and men are at risk of being washed away by the deadly landslides and floods that may follow monsoon rains. They also face the risk of deadly water-borne diseases like cholera and diphtheria.
Rohingya refugees have already endured so much hardship. After escaping violence in Myanmar last August, more than 671,000 refugees live now in overcrowded camps. Their make-shift shelters are built on hills and gullies where living conditions are poor and the danger of flooding and mudslides is high.
UNHCR teams are on the ground, working around the clock to relocate people living in the most dangerous areas and to help strengthen their makeshift shelters to withstand the monsoon – but we need your support.
£75 can provide a lifesaving Monsoon Defence Kit. Each kit contains bamboo, tarpaulins and sandbags to reinforce and anchor people’s shelters and medical supplies to defend against water-borne diseases.
