On this page you will find a description of the various roles in the Global Support Team (GST), as well as the contact details of the people in those roles (click on a name to send an e-mail). For an overview of how much support the various roles provide to each country, please see the GST dashboard (note that the time dedicated to the cluster by each individual is subject to a separate agreement).

Global Focal Points (GFPs) act as a pool of experts that support country-level clusters in the establishment of adequate coordination and information management systems, the roll out of on-the-job training for deployed team/cluster members, the formulation of the initial cluster strategy and plan, and facilitate a gradual handover to longer-deployment teams. In total, the GFPs cover four functions:
GFP FOR COORDINATION | |||
---|---|---|---|
GFPs for Coordination have been enhancing the coordination provided by country-level clusters. They oversee that country-level clusters are fulfilling the six core functions defined by the IASC with a particular focus on supporting service delivery, informing strategic decision-making, planning and strategy development, advocacy, and monitoring and reporting. | |||
