Niger: Evacuation from Libya gives refugees new hope
UNHCR facilitated the emergency evacuation overnight Thursday to Friday of a group of 74 vulnerable refugees from Libya, including 51 children, 22 women and one man. The group arrived in the capital of Niger, Niamey, where they were taken into the care of UNHCR teams and headed to safe houses. It is the second group to arrive in Niger under such program.
