  1. We are deeply saddened to confirm that an aid worker was killed yesterday after our convoy carrying education supplies came under fire. I strongly condemn this senseless assault. Aid workers must be allowed to carry out their work without fear.

    In Aden, a young girl gave me a drawing of the world that she would like to live in. It showed a girl sitting in a park on a sunny day next to a big house. It was the opposite of the world surrounding her, one of displacement, destruction and fear.
