Event: World Refugee Day: Standing Together. Join the City of Surrey to hear first-hand experiences of refugees, learn about the different programs and supports available in Surrey, make connections and strengthen the relationship between refugee and Indigenous communities, and discover how you can support new families in the community. The event will include panel presentations, discussions, information tables, refreshments and more.

Event: World Refugee Day Open House and Backyard BBQ at Christie Refugee Welcome Centre. An event that is part open house and part neighbourhood party – all neighbours, friends and supporters welcome. There will be music, food, games for kids and opportunities to learn more about refugees.

Event: The Regina Open Door Society (RODS) will be hosting a World Refugee Day event as The City Square Plaza Stage at noon. The program will include 2018 Newcomer Bursary Awards followed by entertainment.
