    A stateless person who marries a Kenyan is not recognized by law no matter how long they are married. Their marriage cannot be legally registered as the person is a legal ghost

  2. There is no migration/refugee crisis in Europe. Very low arrival and "secondary movement" figures are the opportunity for EU states to focus together on real issues like asylum reform, safe pathways and more+better aid to refugee hosting+transit countries.

    Young refugees are active as community workers in Rohingya settlements in Bangladesh. They help refugees understand, speak out, be heard and participate. A great project supported by UNHCR.

  8. Nothing could’ve prepared me for the scale of crisis and extent of suffering I saw today in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. I heard heartbreaking accounts from Rohingya refugees that will stay with me forever. My appeal to the int’l community is to step up support.
