    Hafun (Xaafuun) Salt Factory was the biggest salt factory in the world during 1930/40s. By 1933 Hafun salt produced more than 200k metric tons of salt, most of which was exported to India & the Far East. This allowed Hafun to interact more than 5k inhabitants by 1939.
