    UNHCR ha la capacità di evacuare anche 1000 persone al mese e trasferirle in Niger, è necessario però che ci sia la possibilità poi di reinsediarli in altri paesi altrimenti il sistema non funzionerà

    Il numero drammatico ed eccezionale dei morti quest’anno - 1 persona ogni 7 mentre nel 2017 era 1 ogni 38- è dovuta alla riduzione drastica della capacità del soccorso in mare. La Libia non è un porto sicuro, la nostra presenza è necessaria per far fronte ad una crisi umanitaria

    , Le storie che raccogliamo dalle persone che evacuiamo dai centri di detenzione in Libia sono storie indicibili, di violenza,e tortura! Il richiamo forte all’umanita’ e’ fondamentale, come il richiamo alla all’ascolto e alla risposta collettiva

    Il Niger è stato molto generoso nell’accogliere i rifugiati evacuati dai centri di detenzione libici - dove le condizioni sono tremende - i paesi europei hanno promesso 4000 posti per il reinsediamento dei rifugiati ma effettivamente accolto solo 200 persone.
