    Very insighful article on role of CHVs in promoting healthcare in hard to reach areas of Turkana on . Use of local beads to count, CHVs tracking down children etc gives hope of reaching the unreached. Good job

    - oil deals still largely secret, including exploration deal financed in part by - "IFC has requested Africa Oil and government of Kenya to disclose contract, and remains in discussions about potential means and timing"

    7. So if 60 tonnes of “poisonous sugar” is found in a godown in Eastleigh and others elsewhere with complete packaging set-ups with KEBS stickers, is it from sugar millers or other importers/traders and how did such large consignments get there “unnoticed?”

    In Kenya invesrment usually means real estate not factories, research institutions, hospitals, irrigation schemes etc. That is why the majority remain poor while some become fabulously rich.

    To see how badly our politicians lack imagination, check their "investments: Land and real estate, especially hotels. They can't create. They can only entertain. That's why Fanon prophesied they'd set up Africa as the brothel of Europe.

    Now this is in this year's Budget: A house initially budgeted for 250m, eventually built for 400m and refurbished for 100m, will now be refurbished for 1.7 Billion shillings. Somebody kindly save us from CS Treasury and his minions at Treasury.

    Stop arresting shopkeepers and truck drivers, these are poor people trying to make a living, they don’t have the capacity to do chemical analysis, they don’t control the bodies thro which sugar comes in. The importers who intentionally bring in this sugar are known, target them
