    Am immensely grateful for all the books which offer readers a small glimpse into the trauma of being a refugee... literature truly can inform and enhance our empathy as humans...

    It's and it feels so important to stop and take a moment to think about those forced to flee their homes. It's impossible to imagine what it must feel like, but books like these can help at least a little:

    This is and we are proud to join others in Norwich to welcome refugees and to recognise the positive contribution newcomers make to our city. From conversations we have had with refugees we know they like living in Norwich and they love its rich history.

    My parents were refugees. My father had his entire home burnt to the ground when he was thirteen years old, the day his father was murdered by militia. He became a child soldier. Was a prisoner of war twice by the time he was 25.
