    It is not a crime to request asylum. We should not be separating families. We should not be detaining families. Neither is moral. Both violate international and U.S. law. I've called my Members of Congress. Will you?

    I can't imagine how Taner's wife & daughters feel right now. Another 1/2 year together: lost. The Turkish government should be absolutely ashamed of this decision. This proves once & for all that there is no justice or rule of law left in .

    Remember folks: indefinite mass detention, particularly of asylum seekers, is a crime against humanity.
