    Bamenda is reportedly shutdown before official curfew after armed groups allegedly asked citizens to close down their activities or go home bc of planned showdown with security forces tonight. A resident I contacted confirmed the info & also told me he could hear gunshots.

    It seems state broadcaster, CRTV & privately owned LTM TV don't have rights to broadcast World Cup matches, yet are. Anyway from the communique of Ortb both stations are at fault .This begs the question: who has official Word Cup broadcasting rights in Cameroon?

    A young man whose only name I got as Tita, has just been shot & killed by Cameroonian security forces in Fundong. According to witnesses,Tita was killed by security forces on the lookout for armed militants who burned a council control post & beat up toll collector seriously

    Power utility ENEO has without warning increased its rates from FCFA 50 per unit to FCFA 79, in Bamenda. Dont know if increase concerns only NW& SW regions or it is a national increment. Please, share your experience. Have you noticed any drastic change in yr electricity bill?
