To date UNHCR received a total of 650 voluntary repatriation requests from CAR refugees. The dire economic condition in Republic of Congo seems to be the main reason of these repatriation requests.

On 9 September the Eligibility Commission processed 642 cases of asylum seekers. On those, 632 CAR individuals were granted refugee status in the Republic of Congo.
